Product Manager – Internet of Things

RapidSOS is hiring!  Join a rapidly growing advanced emergency technology start-up in solving one of the greatest challenges of our generation:

  • The Challenge: emergency communication has seen almost no technology innovation in the last 50 years; 250 million 911 calls are made each year with no data, causing 10,120 fatalities when callers couldn’t even be located:
  • RapidSOS Tech: predict and preempt emergencies before they occur, warn users in harm’s way, link any device (car, wearable, IoT, phone) directly to first responders in an emergency with rich data
  • Media/Awards: Won most major start-up awards (including Start-Up of the Year by CTA/CES & Top Innovation of 2015 by MIT) and featured across national media (NYT, Fox, Newsweek, Time, TechCrunch, Fortune, etc.)
  • Business model / markets: $60B is spent annually on third party call centers to speak data to 911 (OnStar, home security, medical alert) – RapidSOS eliminates the need for these call centers, providing faster, more effective service with no COGS
  • Commercialization: 46 signed partners and over 250 companies in its funnel; we are working with the largest tech and telecom companies globally and groups like the White House Data Driven Justice Initiative to deploy the technology to every American;
  • Team: MIT, HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Google, Oracle, Microsoft, Argonne & Oak Ridge National Labs, Bell Labs, venture capital, over 40 tech start-ups
  • Investors: $14M raised from preeminent global investors including several top VCs, the world’s largest public safety company, three former FCC Chairmen, and four billionaire technologists/investors
